I'm taking most of the day off today because I can.
So after this email, a couple of business emails and some cookie errands I'll probably spend most of the day following my new-found and rediscovered passion:
Getting absolutely lost in the wonderful world of VR inside the Oculus Quest!
I used to be a HUGE PC gamer in my teens but I never got into console gaming, so I stopped playing video games at about the same time as I got interested in girls.
So this morning I told my wife, who is also working from home today, "by the way, I want you to know that I will probably be spending a lot of time today playing Oculus"
She has this magic ability to shrug her shoulders and you somehow feel her shoulders rolling her eyes at the same time, even if she's not looking at you.
She says, "Fine...just close my office door or use your headphones."
"Ok, but I want you to know that I may also be talking at the same time....to my new internet friends..."
"Oooohhh" she says with mock disdain, "we've reached THAT level of video-gaming."
I laugh and say, "yeah, you'll probably be hearing me say a lot of "I got your back" or "come over her and I'll revive you" or "where should we drop into the map?"
I continue, "I may even switch to Spanish on occasion if those guys are playing today."
Now she's shrugging her shoulders, rolling her eyes and shaking her head at me, her body dripping with "I can't even..." and doing its best impersonation of this gif:
