I did not set the kitchen on fire yesterday.
That's what I told my wife on the phone.
"Just in case you're wondering, I did NOT burn the kitchen down..."
And I could hear her eyes roll from the other end of the line.
"What. Happened..."
I
was sitting down to eat when all of sudden it was hard to see the TV from the dining room table because of the smoke.
I stared into the kitchen and there was thick grey smoke coming out of the microwave. Plumes of smoke quickly filled up the kitchen and made it look like a moderately decent rave, sans all the music and glow sticks of course.
I dashed into the kitchen and
threw the microwave door open.
My char siu bao were literal toast. I guess they couldn't handle the microwave for very long.
Would have been helpful if I had kept the instructions handy, but I just went hungry instead.
If you're prone to overcooking your mixes, you might not burn down the house in the
