Man...I'm wiped out today.
Writing an article for each podcast episode this week has been quite the adventure, but an exhausting one nonetheless.
So...today I'm going to take a break and just let you enjoy the newest episode we uploaded.
This episode talks about the fifth song off the album, "Justified Fitting End" and is a story about a horrible man who treated his family like
dirt. Although we don't have all the details, we do know that he got his justified fitting end.
This is one of my favorite songs to play live because the groove is so cool. Whenever I bark the backup vocals in front of an audience I have to give it my all to give it the attitude it needs.
The studio version is also such a joy to listen to because of the slide guitar and horn section that
really pulls the arrangement together.
Overall it's just fun song to be a part of so I'm glad I got to deconstruct the production with the guys.
Why Podcast About an Album?
With today's streaming music service and digital discovery it's kind of hard to get that feeling of knowing what the songs are about, where they come from and who's involved
with the records. So, we created this podcast because we thought it would be cool to create "audio liner notes" for the album.
So far, people have been liking it and that makes us very happy! It's always good to know that your efforts weren't in vain. But we'd love to reach a wider audience, and for that we need your help!
Help Us Out on iTunes?
Tomorrow is the last day our podcast can be considered "New and Noteworthy" so we were hoping you could do us a favor and leave a rating and a review for the podcast here?
It'll help us reach more people and spread the word about the music.
Thanks in advance!
P.S.
Next week we'll resume our regularly scheduled programming and talk in-depth about EQ, because....the new and improved EQ Strategies - Your Ultimate Guide to EQ will be made available. More info next week,
stay tuned!
