I have to admit, my home studio is pretty small.

When I have a full band in the studio it can get cramped fast, so it's nice to have a backyard where the rest of the band can lounge around while we track specific members.

If it were a real estate listing, it would be described as "intimate, cozy and snug" instead of "cramped, small and congested."

But that doesn't mean I can't get great sounds in my room.

Take drums for instance. I may not be able to get John Bonham style big gymnasium style drums in room, but I can certainly get a tight and punchy drum sound that's perfect for the types of bands I work with.

The thing is, you don't need a huge live room to get a good sound. And you don't need an impressive professional facility to get bands to work with you. You just need to show that you can get good results with the room you have.
