Or maybe we just had a better photographer in March...Same guitar though!
Anyways, back in the day we released our debut album "Virgins." It was an alternative rock/metal album very inspired by the early
2000's when it came out.
I listen to it today and although I'm proud of it, I wish we had something like Hardcore Tracking when we were working on it.
We just didn't really
know what we were doing when we were recording the album and the sound suffered because of it. There's only so much you can do in the mixing stage, which is why it's so incredibly important to get it right at the source.
If we had tracked the drums better the entire foundation would've been solid. If we'd known how to point a microphone at an amplifier we'd have gotten such better drum sounds. If we'd just had a
mentor like Jordan who guided us along the way we would've ended up with much better tracks and a much better sounding album.
That's what I want you to have. Don't have this weird regret like I have that I can't do anything about.
Take action today and make sure your hard rock recordings are as good as they can be so that you're already
80% of the way there when it comes time to mix. I want you to be confident that the tones and sounds you capture are exactly what you need in the final mix.
