At this point I remembered: I had been shuffling a lot of cookbooks in the cookbook cupboard above the microwave the day before. Was that where it was plugged in?"Erm....let's see.....uh...yep....It's ugh....not plugged in. Must've come loose for some reason....It works now. Thanks." I
said, sheepishly.
"Ok" he said, stifling a laugh.
"Hey man, you're a life saver." I joked back.
"I'll definitely give you a call the next time I have a real problem..." I said and hung up.
I gotta say, I'm glad I didn't run out and buy a new microwave. Like my grandpa used to say:
"If it ain't broken, don't spend money to replace it."
He didn't say that, but it sounds like a grandpappy thing to say.
Sometimes you don't need to replace anything. Sometimes you just need to make sure it's working and you're using it correctly.
Sometimes you may think things are broken, but they are very easy to
fix.
You might not need to replace all your stock plug-ins with hundreds of dollars worth of premium plug-ins. The stock plug-ins work just as well.
You just need to know how to use them correctly. Plug them into the correct places in your mix.
And if you're struggling to make great mixes, there's no better place to start than to learn how to mix with the five most
important plug-ins in your arsenal:
- EQ
- Compression
- Reverb
- Delay
- Saturation
That's where Step By Step Mixing comes in.
