There's a term in Icelandic that doesn't
exist in the English language.
It's called "Djammviskubit" and describes the guilty conscience you have the morning after a night of hard partying.
It consists of the word "Djamm" which is slang for "partying" and "Samviskubit" which means guilty conscience.
You've probably felt this feeling, but because you're very likely not Icelandic, you didn't have a word for it
yet.
You're welcome. And don't worry, it will pass as the chemicals in your brain restabilize and you won't feel like a terrible human being anymore.
But it made me think that English also doesn't have a word for the guilty feeling you feel when you've tweaked your mix to death the day before and now it sounds even worse than when you started.
Mixience?
Muddience?
Soundguilt?
Bah, English is better when you put two words together. Mix Guilt it is. The guilty conscience of having wasted a bunch of time tweaking a mix for no good reason.
