But he's also pure id, or impulse.
And he's not so good at putting 2 and 2 together when it comes to eating leftovers.
And to be honest, I'm definitely to blame.
See, we feed him scraps. He gets to lick the plates and bowls on occasion.
And he LOVES it!
He'd be an amazing dishwasher, except for the fact that his tongue isn't exactly hygienic.
But sometimes these scraps don't necessarily settle well in his stomach.
Like I said, partially my fault.
But does he care the next time we're done eating?
Hell no! He eyes those plates like it's the last thing he'll ever get.
And once again, wipes it clean!
He gets so carried away by the excitement that he forgets that it might not be so good for him.
Doesn't that happen all the time when you're mixing?
You add effects on every instruments, pile on the reverb and you just think it's SO COOL!
But then you snap out of it a few days later and think:
"What was I thinking! There's way too much reverb on that!"
But I'm pretty sure that's not the first nor the last time you'll do that.
It's just because we get carried away. We get excited and follow our effects down a rabbit hole until we realize we're really lost.
The only way to fix that is through experience and a whole lotta mixin', being careful not to pile on the effects.
That's what I teach you in the Step By Step Mixing.
It's a clear-cut blueprint through the mixing process.
