Here's an Icelandic anecdote for you: if you pull your back out for some reason, possibly due to the fact that you are now 34 years old and somehow feel like you're 100, it's not just called "pulling your back out."
Oh no, that much too mundane for us elf-believing, Viking-descendant weirdos. It's actually called an "Ogre Bite."
As in, while you were asleep, regardless of the fact that you were probably passed out in some weird position that screwed your back, an Ogre snuck into your bedroom and bit you on the back so now you can hardly walk and still have to take a 7-hour flight back to the United States.
FML.
