What does success look like to you?

Is it becoming a platinum-selling, Grammy-award-winning musician and engineer? Or is it something more modest, like "I just want to feel happy about how my final mix sounds" or "I just want to release my music and get heard."

If you're like most people, musical awards are a pipe dream.

I mean, not everyone can be as successful as my fellow compatriot Hildur Guðnadóttir who just became the first solo female composer to win a Golden Globe for Best Original score for the film "Joker."

More likely, success for you means something simpler. Maybe you just want to feel confident with your skills so that you know what to do next.

Whether you're finishing a mix or getting ready to release and promote your song, I'm sure you just want to know exactly what to do when.

Sadly, when you ask for advice on the internet, you'll get a ton of contradictory advice and sooner or later you have a to-do list of so many things that you don't even know where to start.
