Happy Sunday!
It used to be that I would do the millennial thing du jour and go to brunch with friends where we'd sit and sip our fancy orange juice (ok, a Mimosa), and talk in high-brow voices about intellectual topics and opine on the world's problems.
Now...I just sit by myself in the kitchen corner with a hardboiled egg that I drew a smiley face on (I've named him Eggard), drinking warm beer out of a plastic cup, like an agoraphobic Tom Hanks from Castaway, giggling to Eggard's witty stories.
Hello, this is Björgvin and I'm in the "Who Knows Even What Time Is Anymore?" week of quarantine.
I don't want you to go insane like me and Eggard so I thought I'd give you something valuable to watch today.
Today is the last day you can watch Jordan Valeriote's excellent video series, The FullStack Producer, which helps you get serious about becoming an audio engineer for hire or a producer that consistently cranks out high-quality work.
You may have already seen me talking about it on the blog last week, but I thought I'd give you one last reminder before he pulls down the videos.
I enjoyed them A LOT so if you haven't gotten a chance to watch them yet, check them out here.
Here's a breakdown of what you'll learn:
- What truly separates amateur products/engineers from the pros
- The difference between producers who stay stuck with embarrassing demo-quality records - and those who rapidly attract clients in the studio
- The 5 levels of growth that EVERY engineer/producer must go through
- How to identify which level of the Production Ladder you've reached (so that you know what your next step is)
- What Jordan saw while watching a platinum record get made that changed his studio work forever
- The 4 key ingredients to capturing raw tracks that sound better than your final mixes
- How editing literally changed his life and made his career (not hype… just watch the video for the story)
- The mistakes & fears that are ruining most mixes (will set you FREE to enjoy mixing again!)
And finally, Jordan gives you the most important mindset you need if you want to become successful. That's all in the third video and it's seriously worth the watch.
Plus, you'll also get access to his mix cheatsheet, the same cheatsheet I used personally to make my rock mix punchier and more powerful last week.
If you haven't gotten a chance to watch all three videos yet, make sure you do it today before they vanish.
Click here to watch the Full Stack Producer series now.
Enjoy!
