Happy Monday!
It's 9 o'clock on a Monday at the time of this writing and the piano man is probably still asleep (although I doubt he went to work on Saturday because his lounge was probably closed).
That sentence was brought to you by Billy Joel fans and quarantine alcoholics alike.
This lockdown has just made my job even more demanding, so instead of writing long stories and evocative emails, I'll be sharing my schedule of appearances this week with the hopes that you'll catch me at some of them.
It's kind of like buying a ticket to see a live performer, except I'm less funny than a comedian and won't be playing any songs!
Here's what's on deck for this week:
Monday - Customer-Only Mix Stream - 2 PM PST
We're working on a cool jazz tune called Engelenhart by John Martin of Jamboy Productions today and I'm looking forward to diving into it with you guys watching over my shoulder.
Customers will get an email with the mix-stream link at 1:30 PST, so make sure you check your email then (and if you aren't a customer, the easiest way to get access to customer-only invites is to buy Step By Step Mixing).
Also, if you're a customer and have a song you'd like mixed by me, please get in touch so I can hear your music.
Wednesday
Mix Coach Live With Kevin Ward - 8 am PST
I'll be jumping on Kevin Ward's Mix Coach Live stream on Wednesday to talk about all things mixing with five plug-ins, so make sure you mark your calendar for that and join us on either Facebook or Youtube:
Influences and References Podcast - 2 PM PST
I'm starting a brand-new mini-podcast with Audio Issues long-time contributor and musical genius Ed Elefterion (who plays under the artist-name Ed Charles).
The podcast is called Influences and References and it's a podcast about our musical influences and how you can use them as references and inspiration to improve your own productions.
