I'm trying to get back into the gear of making new videos for you through our Patreon page so this time I'm covering a few acoustic and
electric guitar recording techniques.
The most interesting part this time (IMHO) is the combination of a tube condenser on the sweet spot of the acoustic guitar along with a miked up acoustic guitar amp.
When I blend the two together it sounds very cool. I feel like I've added a little rock 'n' roll edge to the acoustic folk sound which is exactly what I'm trying to go for.
I also run through my signal chain for the electric guitar recordings in the video, showing you how I blended the close miked "Whale" microphone (you'll have
to watch the video to se why I call it that...) and the Cloud Microphones ribbon.
