I try (and fail sometimes) to look at everything as a learning experience.
One of the most valuable ways of doing that is
to actually put things out in the world.
Audio Issues has been a great help in that regard but lately I've been focusing more on putting my own music out there.
And as you may know, "Perfect Pocket" is our latest single and was released a couple weeks ago (to a pretty receptive audience if I may say so myself!)
A part of
"putting it all out there" has been our Patreon feed where I put all our Youtube videos up for those that want to support us financially (all money goes straight into band expenses).
In this week's video I show you a few things about the session and multi-tracks.
What I'm proud of:
- The recorded tracks themselves (GIRATS!)
- The overall mix
- The excitement in the performance
What I could do better:
- Better gain staging (or being more
careful)
- Getting it mastered by a third party
- Making sure I get feedback from experts (which I did but it deserves being mentioned)
Check out the video below and let me know what you think.
