Here's a wake up call for the weekend...
Your mixes don't matter.
BUT!
They matter to you.
Mine totally matter to me.
But do mine matter to you?
Probably not.
I listen to multiple mixes of the same song all the time through Crowd Audio and The Long Wait channels. And I do get some enjoyment out of them when I
give them feedback.
But I can only be so critical because it's so subjective all the time.
And the best part you only need a handful of stock plug-ins and some critical listening to get a great mix.
So as long as you have
a good mix that the client really likes, that's ALL that matters.
Not what some annoyed, hungover critic on Reddit has to say about your "shitty ass kick-drum".
Nah, screw that guy. If it matters to you and you're creating a final result that everybody involved likes, that's all that
matters.
Sound good?
Ok cool. Have a good weekend.
P.S.
Remember to enter the giveaway to win over $2,400 worth in audio tutorials. The contest ends on Monday night and the winners will be selected before I open up my brand-new course I'm super excited about (and proud of!), Mixing With 5 Plug-ins.
Stay tuned for Tuesday!
