What Would You Do With $1,000? (Win $100 Giftcard to Amazon)

Published: Tue, 10/27/15

It's almost November which means America is gradually going to kick its consumerism into high gear.

Black Friday, Cyber Monday and all the specials surrounding the December holidays probably contribute a good chunk to the overall GDP.

But even if you're not partaking in any spending this year on gear it's always fun to look at what's coming out.

And since this weekend is AES (which I sadly won't be attending) I thought we could have some fun with online window shopping.

Introducing the Audio Issues Window Shopping Challenge!

Take $1,000 of your imaginary dollars and spend them on whatever you think your studio needs on Amazon.

You can be completely flexible on what you "spend" it on. It can be a anything from a new pre-amp to give you different sonic colors to any instrument you've always wanted to add to your instrument arsenal. Or a combination of anything that you think is the best use of your money!

Post your list of items as a comment before Tuesday, November 3rd to be eligible to win.

Categories and Prizes

  • Most Efficient Use of Money - Whoever finds the best bargains and the most bang for their buck will win a $100 gift card to Amazon.
  • Best Argued Case for Gear - Whatever gear you want (even if it's one $1,000 microphone) you'll win a copy of EQ Strategies as well as the Recording & Mixing Strategies bundle ($133 value).
  • The Live Sound/Gigging Musician - If you're a live sound guy or a busy gigging musician you might have some other needs than the regular home studio engineer. So the best bundle of gear that includes mostly live sound gear or music/band related stuff will win the Live Sound Survival tutorial package as well as an exclusive access to Music Production Strategies.

I'll post my own Window Shopping List next Tuesday as well so I'll be excited to hear what you'll have come up with by then.

Post your results as a comment right here.
