I noticed you had the opportunity to become a Mixing With 5 Plug-ins member but decided not to at this time.

Would you mind telling me why? (I’m not trying to sell you anything. I just want to learn more about my audience and what they're problems really are).

Did I not do a good job of explaining what you learn from Mixing With 5 Plug-ins and how it can benefit you? 

Was it something I said, or didn't say,

On a more serious note, one of the responses I got from one of the emails this weekend, referring to Mixing With 5 Plug-ins, was this:


"Not free."


This comment really rubbed me the wrong way and I thought I should address it. As much as I'd love to get up every morning and create free content it's just not a viable business for me. 95% of my content is free but for some of my premium content I simply have to charge for it. Otherwise Audio Issues wouldn't exist and I'd probably still be delivering pizzas for Dominos. And I think we all know, helping you out with your audio production is a better use of my time than delivering pizzas in the Icelandic rain.

So if you're just on this list to get free audio advice, that's great! I hope I can give it to you. But if you expect everything I do to be free then I think you will be sorely disappointed. There's really no point in me spending most of my time giving away everything I do. 

If that's what you're expecting then I think you should unsubscribe from this email list because I will always charge for my best content. I spend a lot of time and energy trying to solve your "audio issues" and if you think you should get all that for free I just don't think we can be friends.

I'm sure you understand.
