“I have a hard time understanding the frequency spectrum when I’m trying to make all the instruments fit together in my mix. I can’t figure out how to make my guitars sound the way I hear them on the records I like and they always seem to mask the vocals. The kick drum and the bass guitar always seem to be fighting in the low-end and even when I use cool tricks I learned on the internet the lows are still muddy. Every time I open up a compressor I get nervous about all the different knobs and buttons.
