Let's talk about time.
How much do you have of it?
If you're like most people, you probably struggle to fit everything you want to do into the same 24-hour period everyone else has.
But if you're asking yourself, why do so many people get so much done with the same amount of time I have?
Then I've got some news for you...
It's about how those productive people make time.
They don't have more time. They make more time.
Take mixing for example...
Do you use every minute as efficiently as possible, or do you waste a bunch of time doing nothing?
You try to be productive and mix fast but then you get stuck and start watching those random auto-play videos in your Facebook newsfeed or jump on Youtube for a quick trick to help you out.
Then you look at the clock and realize you wasted all of your mixing time on Youtube...
Whoops!
Alternatively, you may not even use all the time you have because you think you need at least a four hour block of time to even get started with your mix....
So every time you have 30 minutes, you waste it instead of using it to make progress on your mixes.
You see, there's this thing called the Save Command.
It's this brand new function. It was invented at the same time as the seatbelt, the indicator signal and the toilet flusher.
You know, things people should use all the time but don't for some reason!
My point is that even if you only have 30 minutes to spare you can still get a good chunk of mixing time in if you plan it right.
If you already had a session you needed to start you should AT LEAST be able to get a rough static mix going with faders and panning. And then if you have extra time to spare, start slapping EQ on your busses and start EQ'ing all those instruments together.
Who cares if you don't get it perfect right away?
Just wait until you have a new 30 minute block and continue.
When it comes to helping you make better music, my guiding principle has always been about making my advice practical and easy to use right away regardless of how much time you have.
That's why I not only have an entire module called the Mix Template Formula inside my Mix Finisher Formula course that's designed to help you mix faster...
Not only that, but I also have a bonus masterclass on productivity to help you fit your music-making into your busy schedule.
